June is here! That means June weddings. It also means the summer wedding season has kicked into high gear. Just in case you’ve been trying to figure out what to wear, I’ve got three looks to give you a bit of fashion inspiration.
Black Tie Chic
If it’s not often that you get called upon for a super-formal occasion, this gown is simple, elegant and chic in a way that fits the bill but still makes it wearable for a swanky summer party or a night at the theater. The jewel yoke takes it out of the ordinary.
This Dolce & Gabbana Ricamo Pochette Clutch gives the gown all kinds of delicious texture with a lace overlay and chunky, beaded closure and a thick chain strap. Pair it with these fringe-y fun stilettos from BCBG. Makeup Geek recently came out with these gorgeous, shimmery foiled shadows and High Wire is a luxe silver with blue undertones that’s perfect for a dramatic eye. Amp up your smokey eye with thick, full lashes using Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara.
Laid Back Beachy Chic
Everyone is loving maxi dresses again this season, and why shouldn’t they? They’re feminine, effortless and no one has to know that your real reason for wearing it is that it’s like being able to wear PJs in public… and still get compliments! What better style for a laid back seaside wedding or garden nuptials?
You can dress it up with these sweet suede heels from Chinese Laundry or, just in case you’re worried about your heels sinking into the sand, try these adorable pearl thong sandals from one of my favorite shoe designer’s, Rene Caovilla (why am I thinking of Samantha’s pearl thong from SATC?). BHLDN has the most gorgeous vintage-inspired jewelry. I love these Akoya Hoops and Morning Glory bracelet. Keep the makeup fresh and dewy with Becca Highlighter in Moonstone and Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect lipstick.
Classic Cocktail Chic
This is that classic cocktail dress that you can’t go wrong with. The embroidery and detail make it stunning. If you need a go-to party dress, it doesn’t get much better.
Swanky accessories make the dress. Start with this elegant marbled box clutch from Edie Parker. I love the sweet satin bow on these sparkly heels from Nina. Since everything is so neutral, have a little fun with this Repossi White Noise 18-karat rose gold diamond cuff.
