I’m sure many of you Girlies tuned in to see this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show, and it did not disappoint. You got your fill of sex appeal, fabulous wings and gem-encrusted fantasy bra creations – all of them flawlessly melded together with performances by today’s biggest names in music.
With everything that was going on, I found myself zeroing in on the model’s feet, particularly during the Fairy Tale portion of the show. Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo and Jasmine Tookes strutted down the runway in the most spectacular over-the-knee sandal boots! I’ve told you before that I love laser-cut accessories, and those boots stayed with me long after the show was over.
The footwear for this year’s show was designed by Nicholas Kirkwood and his former design assistant Sophia Webster. Webster has branched out to start her own collection, and she’s quickly become a hot ticket with A-list celebs like Jennifer Lawrence and the Kardashians. The butterfly boots are a style from Webster’s Spring/Summer line called “Athena”.
Even if you have the cash (around a cool 2 Gs), good luck finding these boots. Just about everything from the “Angel Wings” collection is wiped out at this point. There were a few other standouts in the line that are now pretty much impossible to buy online… and most likely anywhere else. I dunno. Ebay, maybe?
“Electra” serves up the style in a slightly tamer, super shiny patent leather version.
“Kimini” made it pretty in pastel.
If you just have to have it, I’ve found a few other styles from the collection that you can still get your hands on.
